Varietal Composition: 93% Syrah, 5% Viognier, 2% Marsanne

Winemaker's Notes: Not for the faint-hearted, huge color, immense fl avor and good structure. All Syrah components were bled from our best Syrah ferments after 2-3 days on skins (la saignée). The saignée was sent directly to 2 year old Taransaud barrels and underwent natural fermentation. Deep ruby red, brilliant clarity; intense aromas of strawberries and cream, apricot blossom and panna cotta; loads of flavor on the palate, ripe raspberries and vanilla bean ice-cream, with a touch of spice hinting that it truly is Syrah.
